Thanks to the Kiomda meter we can compare the regular use of the departmental road and that of the soft link. But in any case, we better understand our local mobility flows, which is useful for us in general.

As part of a study conducted from April 2022 to October 2023, the PETR Pays de Remiremont et ses Vallées used Kiomda counters to analyze visitor flow at several vulnerable natural sites. Some of these areas faced significant overcrowding, posing a threat to their ecological balance.

The Collectivité de Corse is responsible for the management and development of several tourist trails under the supervision of the Conservatoire du Littoral. These publicly accessible routes require precise monitoring to evaluate visitor numbers and optimize maintenance and infrastructure management.

The Pyrénées-Orientales Coastal Trail is an iconic route, popular with hikers and walkers. To ensure sustainable management and justify public investments, the DDTM (Departmental Directorate of Territories and the Sea) has implemented an automated counting system using Kiomda devices.

The Pays de la Déodatie manages several high-traffic natural sites, some of which are particularly environmentally sensitive. By installing five Kiomda counting devices, the region can track attendance trends and assess the pressure exerted by visitors on these fragile environments.

The Véloscénie is a renowned cycling route connecting Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel. Along this route, certain mandatory counting points are required. One of these points is located in Chartres, where a Kiomda counting device has been installed to comply with these regulatory requirements and provide accurate cyclist attendance data.
