La Collectivity of Corsica is responsible for the management and development of several tourist trails under the supervision of Coastal Conservatory. These itineraries, designed for the public, require precise monitoring in order toassess attendance and optimize the maintenance and management of infrastructures.
Les Kiomda counters have been installed to provide reliable attendance data, serving asdecision support for technical teams and elected officials.

The information collected is used to feed reports sent to elected officials, allowing to justify maintenance and development decisions.
Initially, the numbers were copied manually in data processing software, which was a constraint. From now on, the export function from the reports.kiomda.com site greatly simplifies the process, improving the fluidity and efficiency of follow-up.
“For the first two years, we copied the numbers from the app. Now we're using exporting from Reports.kiomda, and that's much better.”
One of the major contributions of counting has been to prioritize interventions on the trails depending on attendance.
By identifying the main entry points and the most used areas, the community was able target technical service interventions more effectively and improve infrastructure management.
“Thanks to the data, we were able to understand what are the main entry points on the most frequented trails and sections. This allows us to prioritize the interventions of our technical teams.”
With four counters installed on various sites, the Collectivity of Corsica now benefits from a continuous and optimized monitoring of trail use.
