The boxes make it possible to meet the requirements of the FMI, but also to improve the monitoring of attendance and the organization of swimming pools.
“The Community of Municipalities now has 100,000 inhabitants and manages four outdoor pools that are only open in summer. This equipment, which was recently taken over by the community, is currently being renovated.”
“The old pools did not meet the FMI obligation, which requires knowing at all times the presence of bathers in an aquatic establishment. Each pool is gauged according to its capacity, which makes it possible to regulate the flow and to guarantee the safety of users. During the renovations, we plan to install a tripod to count entries and exits. But at the moment, these pools are not equipped. We still have three or four years left to operate like this. With the boxes, we can know the flows, even if it's not up to the bather.”
The information collected is used by several actors to improve the functioning and regulation of establishments.
“The data from the boxes is used by several parties. Seasonal operators on site monitor attendance during the day and check the numbers reported by the boxes to control access. The person responsible for swimming pools within the Community of Municipalities analyzes attendance trends and establishes statistics. Finally, the State may have to consult this data in the event of an accident or regulatory control.”
The installation of the boxes has made it possible to improve the management of establishments, even if counting has some limitations inherent to the device.
“These boxes provide us with three major benefits: they allow us to comply with regulations, to analyze attendance remotely and to better monitor accesses.”
“We are happy with the Kiomda solution and would recommend it without a problem. I would give it an 8 out of 10. The tool meets our needs perfectly, but counting has a slight margin of error, as we do not have a single point of passage. This is still acceptable and in line with regulatory requirements.”
