Thanks to the figures collected, the eco-farm team can better understand the influx and adapt its organization accordingly.
“We use the box to know the site's attendance rate. We are asked for figures through elected officials. It's very complicated to count the people who come in and out, the site is a kind of big garden.”
The data is mainly used to inform the management and elected officials of the Var cantons. They are used to measure the impact of openness to the public and to adjust reception arrangements, in particular by regulating access to ventilated centers to avoid too much pressure on the environment.
“We are trying to limit the number of people on the site, because it is a protected area. Now, we limit the activity of summer centers because welcoming too many children can potentially degrade the environment.”
The eco-farm uses the interface Kiomda reports to consult attendance trends and monitor seasonal variations. The tool also makes it possible to measure the impact of summer activities and to adapt the management of the site according to needs.
The only improvement suggested: refine the counts to avoid anomalies associated with the detection of stray animals.
“Things are interesting to us, such as counting the number of days closed. We have a fox, but it would not be counted.”
With a note of 10/10, the Kiomda solution fully meets the expectations of the eco-farm team, offering them a reliable and effective tool for visitor monitoring and decision support.
